After graduating in 1982 from the University of Zurich with a law degree and completing an internship in a law firm in Canton Glarus, Irene Späni Saethre worked from 1984 to 1988 as a legal clerk at the Zurich District Court and the High Court of the Canton of Zurich. She was admitted to the Bar in 1987. From 1989 to 1999 she worked in a medium-sized commercial law firm in Zurich.
In January 2000 Irene Späni Saethre went into private practice. For a period of ten years she was a Partner in two small law firms, first in Zurich and then in Rapperswil-Jona, where she lives with her family. Since September 2010 she has been working as a lawyer at Trachsel Bortolani Partner.
Irene Späni Saethre is primarily concerned with family and inheritance law as well as general contract and commerical law.
